I Should Be President

So I decided that for my first real post I would express my biggest idea! An idea that as a little kid (like many other kids) was very certain about. LOL that's why it is titled "I should" and not "will be President". Also because I am aware that I can make a difference even without great power or influence. Hope you enjoy this incite of if I was to be President.

I Should Be President
What truly are the qualifications in order to become the President of the United States? Is it age, gender, political background? To become President, does one need the support from an invasive political party that has enough revenue to support some random candidate who has a nice familiar face that spouts eloquently empty words? I say No. This country was made based on the clear belief of; “For the people by the people.” This definition means the people truly have the power. We as citizens sometimes forget that we have the power; power to elect, to argue, and the responsibility to effect change. America is a melting pot of great ideas from all different walks of life. To be an American means to believe in Freedom. Understanding, that true freedom comes without 100% security. This country is brave to risk putting itself out there as a world power. Continuing on, there should not be any set of qualifications to become the leader of this great country. Leaders change with the times, because of those who support them. This makes it impossible to categorize one stereotype of what the President should embody or appear to be. To become President solely depends on how you present you. I should be President because I am confident, self-assured, and understand my potential. However, I am aware of my mortal faults. Not ignoring them allows me to make changes. Age isn’t my limitation rather it proves to be an advantage. Being young gives me energy; I don’t think my hair will turn grey anytime soon. My obnoxious short height provides me a different perspective on how society functions above me. Being small of stature simply means my greatness is more compacted, just like James Madison; who for the record was only two inches taller than me. Being a woman gives me a soft and nurturing side to my nature. During this time the country is sorely in need of healing from external and internal wounds. Most importantly I hold the same standards that built this country. Standards, that inspired the Founding Fathers to build something worthy to be under God. Standards, which make up who I am. I pursue and crave truth and knowledge, instead of power. My mind is like a strong clean slate not smeared by false tarnishing statements. I understand and identify with everyday hardships that come with life. I have a sense of humor, yet know when to be serious. I am an optimist, and a realist. I love my country, honor the veterans cause, and remember the victim’s sacrifices. My eyes are opened, I will not turn blind. My ears can listen, and are ready to understand. I am here to serve my country the best way I know how. And that is by simply being willing to lead.
